Final Call for Contributions - The Pinot Noir and Identity Symposium

With only two weeks to submit your proposal for the Pinot Noir and Identity Symposium in Oxford from 10-12 July 2025, now is the time to send us your ideas!

We’re looking forward to welcoming the leading authority on Burgundy Jasper Morris MW as well as the experimental psychologist of taste Charles Spence, the world's most respected wine economist Kym Anderson, and many other luminaries that we’ll confirm over the coming weeks.

Our global steering group includes Steve Charters MW, Olivier Jacquet of the UNESCO Chair of Vine & Wine, Burgundian anthropologist Marion Demossier, and we’re bringing together a great bunch of Pinot people for eclectic and interesting networking.

The symposium offers a variety of different ways to join the conversation on Pinot Noir and Identity - ranging from round table discussions to panels of presenters, from keynotes to a convivium, a grand dinner at St Cross College, and a local winery visit.

We’ve extended the programme to make time for a workshop where everyone is invited to participate in plotting the course for Pinot Noir Futures, and suggest directions for the Pinot Noir Project’s research agenda.

All we need now is you!

So please do send your proposals to thepinotnoirproject@gmail.com by the 30th of November 2024 and check out our events page for further details.
